Session Experience
-
We aim for around 75 to 95°C, the range recommended by the Finnish Sauna Society. The exact temperature can vary a little from session to session. Always listen to your body and step out for a break whenever you need to.
-
Yes we have two cold plunges, a rainforest shower, and a standard shower. Our cold plunge sits at around 4-8°C. Please give yourself a quick rinse or shower before each plunge.
-
A typical visit means warming up in the sauna, then cooling off in the shower and cold plunges, with a rest in between, repeated a few times. There's no right or wrong way to do it, so go at your own pace, take breaks and keep drinking water throughout.
-
The sauna is a shared space..
When stepping out for a cold dip or shower, please don't leave your towel on the bench to hold your spot. Free up your space so others can rotate in, you're welcome to find a new place when you return.
Be conscious of not holding the door open for longer than needed - we don’t want that lovely heat to escape!
Keep conversations warm and inclusive. The sauna brings people together, so be mindful of volume and topic.
Beyond that, the main rule is simple: be the guest you'd want to share a sauna with.
-
YES…
For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, you’re welcome to make your own löyly, the steam created by adding water to the hot sauna stones.Use the ladle to add a little water at a time, as often as feels comfortable. This increases the humidity and gives you control over how intense the heat feels.
There’s no need to overthink it. Just avoid pouring lots of water on at once, as this can cool the stones down - drizzle rather than dump.
If you’d like the sauna hotter, or want any help, a member of staff will be nearby and happy to assist.
-
Swimwear is compulsory for all our experiences - nudity is not permitted in or around the saunas. We ask that every customer sits on a towel at all times in the sauna.
-
For health and safety reasons, please refrain from bringing your own products and oils for the session as these cannot be used in our saunas. Essential oils that haven't been approved for in-sauna use may react to the heat and release toxins, ignite on the stove, or create slippery surfaces inside the sauna.
-
Alcohol is not permitted in the sauna. The Sauna operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons.
